Heavy monsoon floods and landslides in Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir have claimed at least 194 lives in the past 24 hours.
The majority of the deaths (180) occurred in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, where at least 30 homes were destroyed.
A rescue helicopter also crashed, resulting in the loss of five crew members.
Nine additional fatalities were reported in Pakistan-administered Kashmir, and five in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Government forecasts predict continued heavy rainfall in the northwest until August 21st, with several areas already designated as disaster zones..
